Graduation Awards
Graduation was held on Saturday, May 31 in the Church Piazza. Seventy-one members of the Class of 2008 graduated. The class speaker was Nikola Zecevic and the faculty speaker was Mr. Jason Ingebrigtsen. Senior awards were presented as follows:
Principal’s Leadership Award – Lauren Hawkins
St. Joseph Community Service Award – Nathaniel Craig
Archbishop John Quinn Medallion – Kameron Sawyer
Brent C. Bennett Humanitarian Award – Gabrielle Olivo
Parent Club Awards – David Dewhirst and Rene Jimenez
Reverend V. Warwick James Award – Mary Kay Knight
San Jose Magazine recognizes excellence
San Jose Magazine highlights the accomplishments of schools throughout the school year. This year, three Saint Lawrence Academy members were featured. In their “Whiz Kid” edition, junior Helen Phan was featured for her academic accomplishments. This year’s “All-Star” edition, features senior Joshua Cusick, a talented soccer and track athlete. And, finally, the “Educator of the Year” was Jason Ingebrigtsen, an English and social studies instructor.
