Mission Statement
Saint Lawrence Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory community committed to the mission of Jesus Christ. Striving to create a caring family environment, we share our Christian beliefs with all students regardless of race or creed. We nurture our community through prayer, workshop, and service.
In cooperation with students and parents, we seek to encourage our students' moral and spiritual potential. Saint Lawrence Academy recognizes the uniqueness and dignity of the individual. We help develop our students' intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth, and encourage them to achieve their fullest potential.
Through our curriculum, we promote the growth of the whole student in a school with a diverse population. We empower the students to become responsible leaders who will fully share their gifts and talents with family, church, and local and global communities.
Full Accreditation
Saint Lawrence Academy is a four-year co-educational Catholic high school that provides students with a fully accredited college preparatory program within a caring family environment. The Western Association of Scholls and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association have accredited Saint Lawrence Academy. Saint Lawrence Academy was given a six-year accreditation beginning in spring 2006.

Tution
The tuition schedule is set each spring.For reference,tuition and fees for 2006-2007:
- Application fee: $65:00
- Registration fee: $500.00 (to secure place in class)
- Basic tuition: $10,175*
- Fees: $400.00 for freshmen, sophomores,and juniors;$500.00 for seniors**
*Tuition payable over ten month period beginning in July.
**Fees cover the cost of the computer lease, Campus Ministry retreat, Activities participation fee, Parent Club membership, and Yearbook. In the case of seniors,it also covers their graduation expenses.
Uniforms and books are sold separately.

School News
ACADEMY WELCOMES NEW FACULTY AND STAFF
As the Academy prepares for the arrival of new students and the reappearance of returning students, the Academy also welcomes some new faculty and staff. Joining the Academy for the 2010 – 2011 school year are:
Kelly DeBarr who will be joining the staff as a Spanish instructor, teaching levels 1 and 3. Additionally, Kelly is interested in coaching swimming, working in Campus Ministry and involving herself with activities dealing with foreign language.
Richard (Rick) Louie is our joining our science department. Rick will be teaching Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Physics and Honors Physics. Rick comes to St. Lawrence Academy with a wealth of experience in teaching at small Catholic high schools, having worked at both Bishop Garces High School in Bakersfield and St. Francis Central Coast Catholic High School in Watsonville.
Kelly Schlernitzauer has joined our front office staff as school register. Having worked at Harker Academy for ten years, Kelly brings a wealth of front office experience to our campus.
And, Janet Yamada has stepped into the role of Development Director for the Education Center. Janet has been a volunteer at the Education Center for a number of years. She has a wealth of fundraising and event planning experience both here at Saint Lawrence and with her volunteer work with Girl Scouts (Troop 61331), San Jose Youth Community Service, and Suzume no Gakko, a Japanese culture program.
We welcome all of our new personnel and wish them the best of luck in the upcoming school year.
